Åsa Jungnelius is an artist and a designer based in Stockholm and Månsamåla in Sweden.
Åsa uses materials as a language. Through materials she seek to interrogate and explore the relationship between our bodies and the objects that we surround them with, as well as the spaces they interact within. Her work is a part of a materialistic culture that is constantly repositioning itself in order to describe the economic, social, political and ecological conditions of contemporary culture and society. The object thus becomes a kind of fetish that hangs over us as individuals and the time we’re living in.
